SHIPPING POLICY

We believe in personalized service and realize that one size does not fit all.  While our shipping policy below describes our standard shipping practice, we can work with customers within reason to find alternative carriers, delivery speeds, and rates.  

SHIPPING YOUR ORDER

Our standard practice is to ship complete orders within two (2) business days once payment is received and cleared.  As a fraud prevention measure, we ship to our customers’ billing address by default.  We will ship to a different address by request.

We will send an e-mail with shipping confirmation and a tracking number once the package is picked up by the carrier.

BACK ORDERS 

If one or more items from an order are in back-order or unavailable, we will contact you to check if you prefer us to hold your shipment until we have all items on hand, or to ship items according to their availability.

SHIPPING CARRIERS

Our standard method of shipping is through the United States Postal Service (USPS).  We can use other carriers at a customer’s request.  Note that shipping charges will be passed on to the customer.

SHIPPING SPEED & RATES

We ship using the United States Postal Service (USPS) Media Mail rate.  Once shipped by us, the USPS delivers packages sent through Media Mail in 4-14 days.  Shipping to U.S. addresses outside the contiguous United States may take longer.  Check with your local US Post Office for details.

We set our standard shipping rates according to the USPS Media Mail pricing in 1lb increments, and add $1 for handling.  For our standard shipping rates click here

We chose to use the USPS Media Mail service since our merchandise allows for these economical rates.  Our aim is to keep shipping costs for our customers as low as possible.

ORDER TRACKING

All our orders include a tracking number which will be made available to our customers via e-mail.

SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES

We ship worldwide.  To do so we require customers to contact us before placing an order so we can establish their preferred shipping method, shipping rates, delivery address, etc.

For International Customers:

Each country has different reliability rates for mail delivery.  Please allow 4-8 weeks for mail delivery, depending on your country’s efficiency.

LOSS OF MERCHANDISE IN TRANSIT

ARCSTAR BOOKS accepts no liability in the event of loss of merchandise in the mail.  We take every precaution in packing and shipping all orders so that merchandise arrives safely to its destination.  Please check with the shipping carrier before contacting ARCSTAR about a delayed shipment.
